Climatesolver.org is a climate innovations portal developed by WWF in order to strengthen the development and widespread use of technologies that can dramatically reduce carbon-dioxide emissions around the globe. Ecoera CEO at a cleantech seminar in Almedalen, the swedish yearly summit for organizations, companies, political parties and lobbyist groups. The seminar was held by the Swedish Environmental Technology Council (SWENTEC) and was targeted towards the question: How can Sweden be a sucessful exporter of clean technologies. Ecoera has made a breakthrough in the field of carbon sequestration - using approx. 1 tonne of biochar, Ecoera has served a sequestration customer by sequestering one return flight to Cuba.

The benefits of turning agro-residues into biochar and our carbon sequesteration strategy was presented at Energy Session 2009 in Sk�vde, Sweden.

Ecoera is selected from a global screening by Globe Forum for the "Sustainable Innovators 100". The selection criterias are Business idea based on sustainability and innovative technology, Verified market demand in terms of customer need, Good profitability potential and Entrepreneurial team the focus areas are: Energy Generation, Energy Storage, Energy Infrastructure, Transportation, Water & Wastewater, Air & Environment and Agriculture among others.

NUTEK, Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth has granted Ecoera and the project BIOCHAIN funding for 55% of project costs. The project will establish a value chain for bioenergy crops for conversion into biofuel, biocomposites from fibers and carbon sequestration using biochar. A joint alliance of partner companies are members of the project and will help leverage the establishment of this value chain.

International Bioenergy Days (IBED) in Minnesota was a success story. Many high-profile speakers and 300+ companies were present at the conference and trade show. One of the featured presenters were Ecoera and Earthtech Energy Ltd. that together presented the agro-energy possibilities on both sides of the Atlantic. The World Bioenergy Trade Show and Conference was an impressive event! Ecoera wants to thank Elmia and Svebio for a very well organized fair. Ecoera was invited to present the BIOAGRO System at the world-leading pellet conference PELLETS 08 arranged by the Swedish Bioenergy Association and the Swedish Pellet Industry Association. In the presentation; �Production and Development of Agropellets� held by David Andersson, the potential of the BIOAGRO System � coming online the 1st of March - was presented to 170 companies and academic institutions along with an invitation to use the BIOAGRO System as an R&D platform for Agropellets. Ecoera wants to thank SVEBIO, SBBA, PIR and Bionorr for a fantastic conference!

Ecoera appoints David Andersson, former Director for Market Strategy and Relations at Ecoera as a new CEO. Charlotta Ekman, former CEO at Ecoera, will continue to be active in the Ecoera structure and will now take on new challenges at high-tech start-up incubator Chalmers Innovation AB. Ecoera wishes both David and Charlotta best of luck at their new positions!

To facilitate the second generation of solid biofuels, Ecoera AB and Earthtech Energy Inc. (Shoreview, MN) team up to establish a trans-atlantic alliance in the field of solid biofuels. The overall mission for the collaboration is �to utilize and preserve the Earth and its Ecosystem�. This is done through the joint effort of sharing technologies and know-how. The collaboration shall offer forward best practices regarding procurement, formulation, manufacturing, technical analysis, marketing, sales of agricultural biomass pellet fuel and the uses thereof.

Ecoera is very happy to now have Niklas in the organisation. He has a strong IT background in database development in bioinformatics from DeCode Genetics among others. He will accelerate the streamlining of data flow and enhance the development of applications for Ecoeras proprietary biomass pelletdesign database. With Niklas on board, Ecoera can take biomass pellet optimization to the next level.

To propel Ecoera further, VGR provides 400 000 SEK in seed loan. This will enable Ecoera to stabilize the operations and handle the current incoming customer request stream. Life is good.

Not to be missed if you happen to be in Chicago during the E-days arranged by Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce. Ecoera will present the company and how its pellet formulation will help realizing the BIOAGRO-project.

At 12:00 Monday 2nd of April, Ecoera will together with �FAB present the development part of the BIOAGRO project, run by Sk�nefr� AB and HOTAB. There will be food, drinks and of course the presentation of the pioneer EU-project, BIOAGRO.

Together with partners, �fab and Sk�nefr�, Ecoera made a presentation of the ongoing BIOAGRO-project (BIOAGROLIFE.com). Ambassador Wood is working in his One Big Thing-mission to establish connections with Sweden and the US in the renewable energy sector.
